Cinnamon Scones and the ER.

It doesn’t matter that I had planned to go to church this morning.

It doesn’t matter that I had found this delicious lemon buttermilk scone recipe to try afterward.

It doesn’t matter that I made a plan.

Why? Because this dude had a different plan.

Well, in all fairness, it wasn’t his intention to fall onto the stone hearth of the fireplace and gouge a hole into his head. Unfortunately, that’s what happens when you cover your head in a giant white blanket and chase your sister around in some sort of “ghost” game.

After a frantic trip to the ER (and I do mean frantic. Matty B broke at least three traffic laws.) we were relieved to find out that modern medicine suggests tying his hair together and gluing the laceration shut, versus staples or stitches.

Phew.

Obviously church was out of the question. What about those lemon scones?

“No, no,” begged the fireplace victim, “can’t we have scones that I’ll like?”

They were a hit. But not in a violent way.
Phew.

  1. Oh dear, I hope his head recovers soon… but surely those scones were a nice support 😉 just one question – how did you make them vegan?
