WIAW, a running diet


There’s this really wonderful side effect to running.

I mean, yes, it helps relieve stress. And it can lower cholesterol and boost your immune system.

Yay.

But something else that’s great about running 25+ miles per week?

Burning 1,199 calories at a time! Because I’m a lady. A lady who likes to eat. A lady who likes to eat and fit into her skinny jeans.

You’d think that I’d be losing weight with all this running! You’d be wrong. Mostly because I’m always hungry!

Breakfast:

Waffle with peanut butter, applesauce and cinnamon.

Coffee with almond/coconut milk.

Snack #1:

One of these apples. Be proud that I didn’t eat the doughnuts displayed on the same table.

Lunch:

Pasta stirfry with broccoli, squash, spinach, bell pepper, zucchini, leek and peas.

Snack #2:

14 million of these addictive little buggers.

Dinner:

Tofu, green beans , corn and tater tots.

Hasn’t happened yet, but I anticipate a couple of these.

Good thing I’m running 5 miles tomorrow…

What am I going to do when my training is over? I’ll have to eat normal amounts of food…:(
