WIAW:CSA

Is that enough letters for you?

I’ve mentioned it about 36 times, but I love my CSA box. Seriously, it’s like Christmas every week.

Initially, however, I wasn’t certain that I’d be able to use the allotted amount of produce each week without it spoiling. (Have you heard about my husband? Tonight at dinner he announced loudly, “ugh! What’s this?” in reference to the farm fresh broccoli. Thanks, Matty B. Because the kids didn’t notice that comment at all…)

I shouldn’t have been worried. First of all, my mom and I split a share, so I already get half of the allotment. Secondly, the produce is so good, I find excuses to fit it into my diet!

Breakfast:

Snack:

CSA coffee (if CSA stands for Costly Starbucks Addiction- and yes, I got it hot because even though this was today’s weather…

…I’m always cold.)

Dinner:

CSA beets and kale (and other stuff).

I finally made Joy the Baker’s vegan chocolate peanut butter cinnamon cookies. Heaven. Absolute heaven.

Besides, since I ate all my CSA broccoli without saying “ugh”, I deserve a cookie.

Or two.
