This morning, there was a
major minor meltdown at the breakfast table.
It was all over a very important matter: the color of spoon in J Man’s bowl of oatmeal.
You see, orange is his favorite color. I had the audacity to provide him with a blue spoon. What was I thinking? Regardless, there were actual tears involved over this issue and I have since learned my lesson. And J Man? First world problems, my friend. First world problems.
Good thing he’s cute.
But I get it. I do. Some days there are very few joys in life, so if you don’t get the orange spoon, it just might ruin your day.
Or in my case, if I don’t get my favorite cacao seduction smoothie, it just might ruin my day.
I went to The Garden to get such a smoothie. They were out. I was mad. Not “cry into my breakfast cereal” mad, but mad nonetheless.
They offered me piña colada instead. On most days I’m happy with piña colada. But I had my heart set on cacao seduction and the
blue spoon piña colada was just not going to cut it.
Lucky for me (and you), The Garden posts their smoothie menu online.
I didn’t have agave, so I used maple syrup instead, but honestly I think the dates are sweetness enough.
I typically load my smoothies up with kale or spinach, but I left this one au natural. It was like dessert. So good!
As it turns out, I wasn’t the only one who loved this smoothie, as evidenced by the straws above.
And I’ll have you know that we do not have orange straws in our inventory, but apparently green and white striped was acceptable.
