Pumpkin Tea Latte

8:03 a.m. Rushing to the car.

Me: “Let’s go, let’s go!”

Buckling seat belts, opening the garage door.

J Man: “Today is Show and Tell! I need my football guy!” (Falcons QB Matt Ryan action figure. I have no idea why. We have no connection to the Falcons.)

Me: “Ok, where is it?”

J Man: “Inside, I think…”

Enter frantic search, upstairs, downstairs, playroom, his room, toy boxes. Nothing.

8:13 a.m. We’re totally going to be late. We convince J Man that his John Deere tractor/trailer combo is an acceptable substitute.

Me: “Let’s go, let’s go!”

Buckling seat belts, opening the garage door.

J Man: “Here’s my football guy!”

I need Christmas break back…

It’s hypocrisy, I know. But Matty B bought some cute Christmas plates for 90% off and after a day like today (Matty B’s car keeps over-heating, I forgot one of my best friend’s birthdays, it rained today, longest staff meeting ever), I just wanted something warm, comforting, and so-be-it Christmassy. I blame nostalgia.

My latest thing is brewing tea in my coffee. Tonight I didn’t want coffee, so I had a little tea with my milk.

Pumpkin Tea Latte

1 cup vanilla almond milk
1 black tea bag
1 TBS pumpkin purée
Sprinkle pumpkin pie spice

In a microwaveable mug, heat milk until steaming. Steep tea in milk for 3-4 minutes. Whisk in pumpkin. Top with pumpkin pie spice. Serve immediately.

Perfect for a cold, rainy night.

Perfect for a night when you just need to sit down and rest.

Perfect for a night of watching some football on the couch. Maybe the Falcons are playing? Go Matt Ryan!
