Pumpkin Patch

It took me awhile, but I’m here.

I’m done with blackberries and tomatoes.

I’m done with lemonade and iced tea.

I’m ready for pumpkins!

But first, let’s make something clear.

I don’t like pumpkin pie.

Are you as dumbfounded as Miss Rae looks in this picture?

It’s true. I love pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin spice lattes, etc. Pumpkin pie? No thanks. I think it’s a texture thing. It’s like baby food, wouldn’t you agree?

Nevertheless, as a chill is in the air, as sweaters are zipped up, and as leaves are slowly starting to turn, it was pumpkin patch time!

We headed out to my new favorite place in Portland – Sauvie Island!

We got there early because Matty B is as punctual as all get out, but also super smart. It wasn’t too crowded when we arrived, but when we left it was crazy!

They were super kid friendly- giant hay bales to climb on, barn animals to see and tunnels to crawl through.

Check out this action shot! Look at my dare devil! Matty B and J Man were jumping from bale to bale. My kid is such a stud…

But the best part of the day? The hayride! I’m not sure who enjoyed it more- the kiddos or mom and dad:).

Bumping along on our way out to pick pumpkins with my sweet Miss Rae on my lap felt like Fall perfection. Even a slice of pumpkin pie couldn’t have ruined it….
