Sorry, it’s an update…

Matty B says that he doesn’t even read the 30 day challenge parts – he reads the other things, but skips any 30 day updates. He says they are boring. They ARE a little boring, aren’t they?

Unfortunately for you (and Matty B), I’m somewhat stubborn about starting what I finish. Thankfully you only have 13 more days to put up with it:)

Last Mondays update, #11: have a salad for dinner. It’s a beaut…..

Romaine, shredded carrot, shredded yellow squash, cucumber, avocado, tomato, Dr. Praeger’s veggie patty and a scoop of hummus (unpictured).

Friday was #25: clean and organize the house rather than watch TV. This was a forced completion as we were having company the next day and to be perfectly honest with you, Matty B had most of the house cleaned by the time I got home on Friday, but I did scour all the bathtubs (you know, in case our guests wanted to bathe…:) I love LOVE a clean house. Who doesn’t? My children, that’s who…

Saturday was #17: smile at everyone you pass. This was a cinch. We went to church, and you should always smile at people at church. #1. Because Jesus wants you to. #2. Because people are more tolerant of your children loudly demanding Cheerios during prayer if you smile at them:)

Finally, today was #15: find some new workout music. This turned my boring run into my best run in a month! I snatched Matty B’s nano and just started in the A’s. Don’t tell him I said this (and he won’t read it on his own because my 30 day posts are so “boring”…) but he has great taste in music!

The Playlist
Addicted to Love, Robert Palmer
Aerials, System of a Down
Aeroplane, Red Hot Chili Peppers
Alone, Heart
American Girl, Tom Petty
American Idiot, Green Day
Angry Angel, Imogen Heap
Another One Bites the Dust, Queen
Anthem, Good Charlotte
Anywhere Is, Enya (cool down)

I did have to skip a few songs along the way because Michael W. Smith’s “Above All” doesn’t really pump me up, but otherwise this playlist helped me go super fast! At one point I looked down at my Garmin and I was running a 8.51 mile! And I wasn’t dying! All the credit goes to Tom Petty. Thanks, Tom.
