I’m not slacking, 30 day challenge update

You already think I’m flaky, don’t you? September 1st I’m all bright eyed and bushy tailed about the 30 day challenge. And here we are, pushing September 4th and…?

This is me, post run, looking pretty gross…

So I checked #12 off the list – go for a run! My goal was 4 miles in less than 40 minutes. Yes, I run slow. But I’m DOING it, and I’m not ashamed of that!


This is me, before. Don’t I look joyful, and full of hope?!?

I actually did pretty well- 4 miles in 38 minutes, and that’s including stopping three times for red lights. I’d prove it to you if I wasn’t such a Garmin dummy. I think my Garmin ate my run because I can’t get anything to load on my computer. I am truly an embarrassment to my generation.


This is me, after. Don’t I look joyful?!? (mostly because I survived…)

Today I accomplished #29- Have a healthy shake for breakfast with a vegetable. Easy.


Raspberry Mocha Smoothie

3/4 frozen banana
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/4 cup silken tofu (protein powder would work here too, but I’m not a huge fan)
1 TBS ground flax seed
1 TBS cocoa powder
1/3 cup almond milk
1/3 cup chilled coffee (I used decaf)
Giant handful of spinach

Whir it all up in a blender (vitamix makes life worth living) and enjoy!

Tomorrow is the first day of school. Probably not the best day to attempt #23 – drink green tea instead of coffee…:)
